Sewing

Those of you with kids - how do you find time to sew? When they are finally asleep I am too wiped out to try to sew straight. I am making a blanket for a friend and all the kids were in and out of the craft room while I was cutting. Phoebe stuck it out and every scrap I would hear "Can I have that, I need to make something?" I know I should encourage her, but man it is hard - I really don't like the mess (although you wouldn't know it from looking at my house.)

Tina I have patterns picked out and now material for the aprons - I haven't forgotten.

If I ever tried to sew I may know what you are talking about... Brodric got a boy swim doll for Christmas and he looks awefully cold this winter only sporting a swim suit, so I told Brodric I would sew him some clothes. It hasn't happened yet. I think that doll may be cold for a while!

Totally know what you are talking about. It's like when you try to take 2 seconds to talk on the phone, they swarm! Sewing takes so much patience anyway and with kids around, it's crazy. I just made a sleep sack for the baby and I thought I was going to scream from all the mistakes I made from all the interuptions. Well, the blanket looks awesome anyway!

I end up sewing with the kids on my lap. They love to watch the machine and then they push the buttons while I am sewing!!! ahhh-sometimes I can get them to just sit on a stool and watch.
